Sr. Creative Copywriter

Ideating is part of our DNA at Stratworks and we thrive in pitching our best ideas to current and prospective clients. We are looking for a copywriter who will work closely with the Business Development team to create winning campaigns for our clients. Our ideal person must be a highly creative, proactive and strategic conceptualizer and writer who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This role will require regular collaboration with the creative, accounts, strategic planning and business development teams to brainstorm and create concepts, develop the messaging, write and edit copy for various projects. Must be a quick learner, avid reader and active listener with a versatile writing style.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a full understanding of client needs and target audience via research
  • Interpret client and internal agency briefs into campaigns or creative concepts that effectively connects with the target audience and drives action
  • Study and utilize data findings to develop strategic, data-driven creative campaigns
  • Develop a creative strategy and identify a creative route, to guide ideation
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize big ideas, subsequently developing these into integrated campaigns across various platforms
  • Write original, clear and persuasive copy in various tones, voices, styles most appropriate for the target audience
  • Collaborate with the agency team from concept development to delivery and/or implementation
  • Play a key role in client pitches, effectively presenting concepts in agency internals and to the clients

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional copywriting with a solid portfolio
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Social media or content marketing experience a plus
  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design

Senior Accounts Manager

Accounts Management

  • Acting as the first and main point of contact for a group of stakeholders
  • Managing a portfolio of high maintenance projects for major groups of stakeholders that are identified to achieve the overall marketing objectives of the agency
  • Working closely with other departments within the organizations that are in need of marketing support, providing them the rightful attention and approach
  • Overseeing the completion of marketing projects and making sure that the plans run successfully from start to finish in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ensuring that all work being accomplished for stakeholders is appropriate, well-defined, well-explained, properly paced, properly filed (as a case), and within the group’s scope
  • Collaborating with the Strategic Planning (Strategy & Insights), Editorial, Creatives and PR teams within Integrated Marketing to produce and execute the marketing projects
  • Handling communications with the stakeholders they collaborate with both from outside and inside Integrated Marketing and ensuring transparency of communications in each step of the completion of the projects
  • Generating, managing, and owning the responsibility of housekeeping the calendars of all marketing activities
  • Monitoring and reviewing budgets and spending, acting in great prudence over available resources

Relationship Management

  • Establishing and maintaining good rapport with the stakeholders he/she manages
  • Working closely with stakeholders to manage expectations and align communications
  • Partnering with the leaders of Strategy & Insights, Editorial, Creatives, and PR to successfully implement and deliver all identified marketing programs
  • Owning the various aspects of conflict, accountability, and crisis management within the group and those stemming from stakeholders

Key Skills and Experience

  • At least 3-5 years experience in relationship-building and servicing, strategic planning, and leadership
  • Strong communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong practitioner of empathy, emotional intelligence, flexibility
  • Highly organized, and able to work on tight schedules
  • Outstanding knowledge of various channels of marketing
